| Drag the edge two tiles share | Every tile on that line resizes, from 5 % to 95 %. If an app’s minimum or maximum size stops the drag, a message names it, for example “Spark Desktop can’t get shorter than 700”. |
| Drag a window by its title bar onto another tile | The two windows swap places. |
| Hold ⌥ (Option) at the start or end of a title-bar drag | The window floats where you drop it instead of swapping. You can change the key with drag_float_modifier. |
| Drop a window at the screen’s outer left or right edge | It moves to the neighbouring workspace. Next to another display, it moves to that display. |
| Drag a window onto another display | It joins that display’s workspace, in the tile under the pointer. |
| Open a new window | It takes the half of the focused tile your pointer is in. With force_split set to 2 it always takes the right or bottom half. |
| Hold ⌃⌥ (Control-Option) and scroll | Scroll down shows this workspace’s overflow row; scroll up hides it. Other scrolling reaches your apps untouched. |
| Click the strip at the bottom of the screen | Shows the overflow row. ⌘Tab to one of its windows does the same. |
The focus border hides while you drag or resize a window by hand. It comes back once the window settles.
